LAX INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES AUXILIARY CURBS
STATUS: ICA Submittal
CLIENT: Los Angeles World Airports
The Intermodal Transportation Facilities (ITF) Auxiliary Curbs project will construct two new ITF locations to help ease traffic congestion in addition to making roadway improvements. The related roadway improvements around the facilities are comprised of several components: Airport Blvd. will be widened between Westchester Parkway and 96th Place, 94th Street will be extended to Airport Blvd, 93rd Street will be improved, and a new cul-de-sac will be created at the west end of 96th Place.
YKD is responsible for bus stop site furnishings, planting, and irrigation for all private and public street ROW’s. With the goal of maximizing parkway planting and street tree coverage along the project, YKD took part in extensive coordination with the design team to determine street tree locations in order to avoid a complicated network of existing underground and overhead utilities.
