The proposed POLA Cruise Terminal development aims to create flexible, aesthetically attractive, and economically viable facilities that align with the Port of Los Angeles’ LA Waterfront Design Guidelines and broader revitalization goals. Terminals will be designed to maximize waterfront views, support both cruise and non-cruise uses such as events and filming, and maintain public access during non-operational periods where feasible.

YKD's landscape design showcases the natural beauty of Los Angeles through immersive native plant communities, artistic landscaping, and interactive experiences that reflect the city's ecological identity. Featuring diverse environments—from forest edges and chaparral shrublands to open lawns and a grand ocean-view terrace—the garden offers visitors a dynamic and authentic sense of place within LA’s natural and urban landscapes.
